Hi Guys! As lots of us on 24.04 I queued up on the Royal Mint website to get a hold of my SOTD sovereign and 9500 people in front of me and 9 mins later I was in. I put my sovereign in the basket and paid for it. I got confirmation email and as of right now I do have my order in process on the Royal Mint website! I felt so lucky and was eagerly waiting for my sovereign. however I just logged into my bank account and noticed that for some reason the payment was not taken and the money is not missing from my account. it was held as a pending payment and now was not taken apparently! I am getting quite upset what is happening. I did not get any other email from Royal Mint! anyone knows what to expect or happened this to any of you?🤨

There was another one sold for 1700£

As I was going trough Chards I saw that they have this set on sale ant it is 700£ cheaper. I think originally It was 5725£ when it was released on Royal Mint. And now it is 5595£. somebody may be interested I just wanted to share it. not a huge different but it may be still worth it. ( If I am mistaken please correct me.)

Yes that is a good idea and I was also thinking to use it but I did not wanna risk to lose any time and get out of the queue or anything. Otherwise if you are not in hurry to purchase anything quickly it is a good option indeed! You just have to get to royal mint website from topcashback!

They have only 3 pieces of 1oz silver Proof left apparently! And was already sold out! Hence probably these were sent back or Customers changed their mind! But the 1/4 oz gold yes they still have 89! I ordered the 1/4 gold and platinum but had to send them back. I did not ask for replacement but could still order if i change my mind. Except the platinum! I was happy with the design anyway it looked much better than on the pictures

I decided to send back mine cos of black dots around the chest of the horse! i did not ask for replacement! I will decide later they still have them in stock!

Well I just received my coins today and sadly I have to send both of them back!😒

Yes Because of their quality issues It is always a bit of gamble to order anything. Fortunately you can return them back if they are proof coins! Well I hope that I will be lucky with these coins. I am also looking forward to the coronation sovereigns.

I know that not everyone likes or liked this coin when it was released and Also myself is not quite sure what to expect when I can see the coin in real life! I ordered the 1/4oz gold and platinum like a month ago and just got the email from RM saying that it will be delivered in 2 days time. I am looking forward to it. Once I see them I will decide what to do with them. the platinum had very low mintage number 200. Has anyone else bought any of these coin and got the email? If somebody is interested I can share pictures when it is arrived!

Thank you for your answer. I would like to hold it as well and later on I will see when I send it to get it graded. It was just a bit off putting when I saw it first but still may be a chance to get a good grade I guess. What is your recommendation to get it graded? NGC? Also what should I expect as a cost for it. I saw their pricing on their website but looked a bit confusing to me. Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Thank you for your comment! I did not expect anyone to tell me if this coin could get that grade but probably you guys have seen more examples. I have seen posts with worse pictures. I may keep it and when I decide to get it graded I will see how it goes. I am afraid I would only get another one that is even worse than this.

Hi guys! I would like to know others opinion about this coin that I purchased a few days ago! I am new to collecting coins and also newbie here as I just joined today to Silver Forum! I hope this is the right place to come up this kind of questions or topics! I was looking for a jubilee half proof sovereign since I also bought the memorial proof sovereign last week. I have just a few coins and in the future I would like to get them graded as well. However I do not know if I should keep this one because of these issues on the pictures. With naked eyes hardly visible and I saw that unfortunately lots of us had these kind of issues with Royal mint. Any advice appreciated. I just do not know if this is bad enough not to get a grade of 70 or better if I replace it for another one. Also I paid 355£ for this as I think it was a kind of good price for it. You can correct me with this as well if I am not right. Many thanks guys
