I've done this deal recently with a slight difference. I swapped my 1oz Britt for 4x Sheild sovereigns with a date run of 1869, 1870, 1871 and 1872. Both parties were more than happy.

Be interesting to see where the auctions end up. I've had shield sovs off James, I can say they are very good coins. I was very pleased with mine.

Just listened to the latest Liberty & Finance podcast with Andy Schekman. He's not happy about this April fools at all! It should have been announced as an April fools afterwards to save the anxiety of the gullible! Really clever April fools though!

A very good point, the last couple of years look awful to me. My 2002 isn't too Rose coloured. I'd only consider a special edition coronation one.
