  1. Here's a photo I took that shows the lustre a bit better. This used a flattened light source, but I put a little strip of black paper in front to produce some contrast that reflects in the device.
  2. You can tell the man's paid off his mortgage.
  3. Can you ship these to the UK - If so, how much to do so?
  4. I wondered if Methylene Chloride would be any good as a degreaser, but you can't get paint stripper based on it anymore.
  5. I think George V is my favourite portrait on sovs. It's got good relief, so it's quite photogenic as well.
  6. @modofantasma - are you still in the habit of buying best value sovs? ^^^
  7. Based on what I can get Atkinson's web site to let me add to my basket, they have 232 in stock as of this posting.
  8. Atkinson's isn't bad for sovereigns at the moment, which is unusual for them. Their best value ones are a quite reasonable. https://atkinsonsbullion.com/gold/gold-coins/gold-sovereign-coins/pre-owned-full-sovereign-gold-coin-mixed-dates
  9. Well, nice to see you can still flog sovs in 30 seconds here.
  10. Where do you put the lights? I guess one from the top right, one from behind the coin to reflect off the rim, and one mounted on the camera?
  11. No, I doubt it supports any of the RAW formats. I've accidentally uploaded DNG and ARW files to here on a few occasions, but it won't display them.
  12. Oooo. That's luverly. Maklouf portrait. The relief really does stand out on those photos. What have you got reflecting in the background?
  13. I see you've got a Sony camera there. Find the 'Imaging Edge' app on their website and install that. You can use the 'Edit' tool to convert the ARW files to JPEG.
