  1. Easy way to buy gold. I try and pick up a couple of sovs a month now towards pension day. Plug and play gold collecting. I probably wouldn't bother otherwise. Too much hassle.
  2. I check the size and weight myself. Give or take a fraction of a gram here n there they seem fine.
  3. I'm now thinking 'If I cut back on the other half's restaurant trips, cancel her gym membership, and her hair dos, I can buy more gold!' I might end up single but at I'll be better off
  4. It's nationwide as far as I know. Bars, Brits & sovs. You can buy discreetly by asking for a sovereign or whatever you want at customer services. Fill in a form, flash your membership card and pay. Great way to build a stack with little effort or worry about getting a fake gold.
  5. Dunno I get mine from Costco. They look a bit more 'gold' in the photos than they do irl but not by a huge amount tbh.
  6. I couldn't agree more. Here's a pic of my first four sovereigns. Oh .... nom ...
  7. No thanks to gold in the house, not even in a safe. I don't fancy some silly buggers kicking my door in and threatening me to open the safe if they thought I was storing gold at home. At least in a safety deposit centre the gold is out of the way. Only way to get it then is to frogmarch me off to get it, or kidnap the wife and send me off to collect it. I probably wouldn't bother coming back. I'll keep the gold, they can have the Mrs
  8. Haha tell me you're joking If I had to leave gold in the house I'd not want to collect it. Too many burglaries happen.
  9. Haha when I've got a few more posts under my belt I might join paid membership and see what deals I can get off you chaps. ATM I'm just using Costco as it's easy to pick up a sov with the shopping. I got myself a safety deposit box at a decent rental price and now I feel like Harry Potter looking at his gold coins each time I drop another sov in the box lol.
  10. I've already done it. I kept thinking how many sovereigns Goldfinger's gold car would make I'm now in the 'Getting the Mrs to watch any film with Gold in it' phase. There's no hope now.
  11. Saving for retirement seems the sensible way to go for me. I've only been collecting sovs for a month but I've already arranged a rental safe deposit box. Bought another two sovs this month. Hoping to add to the deposit box regularly. Wish I'd spent more on gold and not wasted money boozing and clubbing in my earlier years.
  12. Glad I'm not alone. I watched 'From Russia With Love' last month for the umpteenth time and something stuck in my head when I saw Bond and his case full of sovereigns. The following day I was in Costco and yup, they had a couple of sovs in. Not for for long lol. I bought both. Now I've got gold fever. I like the look of 1oz Britannias but they're a bit rich for me at £1500 a pop. Loving the sovereigns though, and a lot more affordable. I'm not quite on beans on toast yet but if I needed the extra few quid at the end of the month for another sov I'd probably consider it
  13. I bought my first two sovereigns last month. I thought that'd do for now and I'd maybe add one or two more over the next few years. Nope. I'm at it again already and bought another two sovs this month. I'm feeling a bit gold feverish
  14. Anyone want to take a punt on the price of one gold sovereign in twelve months time? I'm new at stacking and want more experienced peoples opinions on if its worth me continuing buying sovs at the high price they currently are.
  15. Thanks again for all the welcomes fellas. I've been on some forums where I say hello and tumbleweed rolls past @bilko The Mrs has got quite interested in my two gold sovereigns and keeps getting stressed every time the price dips 5p I'm not bothered myself as I'm in it for the long haul. Roll on sovereign number three. @HerefordBullyun I'm looking forward to adding some silver once my gold stack is underway.
  16. I'll be alright with the cat's tuna if it'll get me another sov' next week
  17. Thanks for the comments gentlemen. I'm hoping to buy my third sov' next week. Who needs to eat lol
  18. Thanks for the welcome. Sorry about posting in the wrong place. I'm looking forward to my next sovereign purchase. Two isn't really a stack but its a start
  19. I just bought myself my first couple of sovereigns last month on a whim and now I'm watching the price go up a lot more than I paid for them. This stuff is addictive
