My take would be that we potentially see an underpinning of FIAT with gold as Central banks try and woo us with financial stability.. but again it'll be a magicians trick/slight of hand. They could go down the compulsory purchase route though and then jack up the price a-la US style...

I've always kept buying. Seem to do well with the timing etc but to be honest for the first 18 months never bothered to check and it went in my favour. I've found it Can be borderline OCD to keep looking.

The pattern would seem to indicate a large financial shock event is over due. So akin to the GFC or the Dot Com bust. Which will entail the drying up of interbank liquidity and therefore a tightening of lending to the general population. Recession/Depression in bound as markets seize up and people stop spending into the economies to keep them ticking over.

So that will then force all major governments to turn to QE infinity and inflation (FIAT devaluation) will roar like never before

Yield curve inversion (2 year Treasury yields higher than 10 year) often is a precursor to a recession.  With a normal yield curve longer dated tend to pay a higher yield in compensation for taking on inflation risk. With a inverted yield curve risk is being suggested as a near-end/soon to occur event.
