  1. Cheers @jackflash123 - much appreciated. And thank you all again for your the bids - hope it livened up your Sunday a little 😏
  2. That was an exciting finish! 😁 Thank you to all who put in a bid, and I can declare the winner as: @jackflash123 🥳🥳🥳 Sliding in with a bid of £260 right at the death! - please DM with how you'd like to pay and we can arrange getting the Una & Lion bar over to you. Thank you! ☺️
  3. Thanks Spyder - just so you know, postage will be on top - i.e. added to final price at 7pm? Thanks, Bob 👍
  4. Thank you @stefffana 😁 - although I suspect there will be a few people who wanted to start a bit lower! 😅 🤭
  5. Hi All, Having never done an Auction before, and needing to move some items on, I thought I'd give it a go... Please do let me know if there's anything wrong with the listing - as I say, not tried this before! Item: 1 x 10oz Una & the Lion Royal Mint Stamped Bar - with some small marks (refer to pictures) - Please do not bid if you are expecting a Pristine example! Start Time : Now (time of listing) End Time : 7pm BST this evening (28th April 2024) Starting price : £50 Minimum bid increments : £1 please, to keep it neat 😏 Postage : UK only - will be RMSD by 1pm, postage on top of final auction price. Payment : By Bank Transfer or PPFF Dispatch : Will do my best to post out tomorrow (Monday 29th April 2024), but may be Tuesday. Will include a Capsule for it too, if required by the auction winner. Photos: Front: slight haze marks on the 'scrolled' area near the top - only visible when holding at a certain angle though, really difficult to photograph... Back : again, some slight haze marks top & Bottom in the 'scrolled' area, and equally as difficult to show on a picture I'm afraid Close up of the mark on the Lions body in the corner, possibly milking...? 🤔 again, hard to photograph, and not disfiguring generally. Edges: generally ok, the odd small dink / mark, but nothing horrendous in my opinion - However... Please do not bid if you are expecting a Pristine example! I may be being over-picky, but wanted to describe as accurately as possible for the eventual owner 👍 Winner will be highest bid at 7:00pm BST this evening (28th April 2024) as determined by the post times - I reserve the right to make the final decision, as I know from watching other auctions if two people post at almost the same time, it can be difficult to determine which is the winner. (Any Advice on this point gratefully received form the Auction Veterans out there 🙂) Good luck, and Bid lots & Bid high 😁 Bob
  6. Right, nice to chat - see you all in another six months 👋
  7. Blimey, I have a break from the forum, and Gold ends up at £1723 an ounce 😲 …maybe I should take another break 😏
  8. I think someone may have mentioned Dave’s secret method already…
  9. Well overdue Bump - I'll be listing on the 'Bay as well, so you might want to get in first... 😏
  10. When I started stacking, it was with Silver because that’s all I had the budget for. When I’ve earned more, I’ve bought gold - when I’ve earned less, I’ve bought silver again… and when it goes quiet as it has lately - I sell some to keep afloat 🤷🏻‍♂️ The size of coins / bars has only mattered (indirectly) when I’m buying - I’ve got X amount - what will that get me? I’d suspect there’s a fair few in a similar position 🤔
  11. Belated Bump, as I’ve been a bit distracted by the day job 😏 - missed a couple of days, so welcome to the non-premium members! (You have missed the Sovs though, sorry, but the Una Bar is lovely if you should feel the need to treat yourselves 😉) Bob
  12. A forgetful Bump - as I didn't do one yesterday! 🤦 D'oh! Just the 10oz Silver Una & Lion Bar left now, thanks ☺️
  13. No secret Mik - I use a version of the Axial method used by the Photographer from Chards (documented on the Forum), and a few other folks 😁 My setup is a bit Heath Robinson, but does seem to give reasonable results for an ancient Android phone 👍
  14. Hi all, Have some Gillicks to start moving on - In preparation for the Tax Bill approaching 🙄 and thought I'd lob an Una & the Lion bar up too 🤔 Paypal FF or BT please. Here's a 1962 & a 1963, in pretty good condition I'd say... 😏 £ Both now SOLD - thank you TSF! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just the Una & Lion Bar left now... And the 10oz Una & Lion Bar - £300 including RMSD postage - Still Available The Una bar is super shiny and a right pain to photograph well (with a phone at any rate) so excuse the quality. But it's a lovely bar in the hand. Cheers! Bob
  15. Sorry, I've only got an Una & the Lion 10oz bar left 😕 - Good luck with the search!
  16. Bump in lieu of the missed one yesterday, while the forum was migrating servers ☺️👍
  17. Hi All, Super easy one for a Tuesday 😁 A full sealed roll of 2018 Oriental Border Britannias from the Royal Mint - all in RM capsules as supplied. These were a Limited Mintage of 100,000 coins, so not as common as your average Britannia. (pics are from original sale to me, as they are currently languishing in my Box - happy to free them for new pics if someone wishes to see them 'live') Nice round price for a quick sale - inc RMSD PPFF preferred, but BT if needs must. Thanks! Bob
  18. Bugger... 🤦 looks like the Lizzies have all gone - and I'm not buying anything with Ole Jug Ears on it! 😲
  19. I prefer something a little newer... 😉
  20. Can't go wrong with a nice Graded Item... right @GoldDiggerDave ? 🤔 🤭
  21. No problem... doesn't look like anyone is interested right now, so unless they sell elsewhere, they'll be going back in to my box for now... You can always give me a shout when you have more funds available 🙂 👍
