The memorial double sovereigns are much lower mintage (1950) than 2002/2005 (3000/2161) special reverse doubles, aswell as being a more attractive design imho. Difficult not to think this piece should be 10-20% higher price than 2002/05 doubles in PF70 rather than a 10-15% discount at current prices.

The platinum jubilee was the first royal celebration to be commemorated by issuing a 50p piece. A collectors piece with a fabulous design. I have two to offer, both are slabs only. The first is the platinum proof 50p, only 150 issued, 55 in PF70. The other is the gold proof 50p, issued with a higher mintage 580, only 35 are graded PF70. Platinum piece is offered at £1725 posted sd, the Gold proof at £1325 posted. Both together at £3000.
