Nearer a half I'd say. I'd only buy from a reputable seller like Duncan.  There are many fakes I've read . Not the thing you'd collect from eBay. They are magnificent coins.

These Indian head quarter eagles are comprised of 4.18 grams of .900 gold and have a pure gold content of 3.76 grams.

They do carry a stronger premium than their larger half eagle counterparts, but they’re always desirable and becoming increasingly harder to source.

Six of these are sold but eight remain. The dates available are shown in the post.
