Chase Debit Card Gave Me 1% Cashback At BBP

Recommended Posts

Last Friday I purchased the 2022 Memorial Half Sov while on sale at BBP. I paid using my Chase Debit Card, which has a 1% cashback offer on it. Precious metals are listed on the exclusion list, but the transaction triggered the cashback which has cleared within 24 - 48 hours as normal.

I could just have been lucky and it slipped through the net so I wouldn't take it as guaranteed, and it has a limit of £15 per month cashback, but worth trying if you're buying from BBP anyway and can get an extra 1% back. If I do any further buying in the future and it continues to work I'll post an update. If anyone else sees the same feel free to confirm, or correct me if it doesn't work for you.

odds are its down to the retailer category they are placed in.  if its in the coin category then it will be picked up and excluded, if its in a collectable catrgory then might slip through.

same as whether a credit card will treat a transaction as cash and charge the advance fee or not.
