I found this steel (well, magnetic) wwII? wheat penny with date/die error in a batch of 1000 wheat pennies? Can anyone help or advise?

Hello @littleredflower!

I am by no means an expert on anything coin related, especially US coins, but I know a little. Others on here with more knowledge will correct me if I am wrong. 

I do have a small collection of US coins and a few are Lincoln wheat cents. These were minted through the period of 1909 to 1958. I think yours is a 1943 because of the steel content. The rare version in 1943 is the bronze one because there are only a handful of those as the mint was using left over planchettes. 

There are also some rare steel versions and errors, but without better pictures of your coin it is hard to say anything. However, if you search online for ‘war time cent’ or just 1943 cent you will see loads of research and information.
