Have some Gillicks to start moving on - In preparation for the Tax Bill approaching 🙄 and thought I'd lob an Una & the Lion bar up too 🤔

The Una bar is super shiny and a right pain to photograph well (with a phone at any rate) so excuse the quality. But it's a lovely bar in the hand.

I just can't seem photograph sovereigns the way you do. What's your secret?

No secret Mik - I use a version of the Axial method used by the Photographer from Chards (documented on the Forum), and a few other folks 😁

My setup is a bit Heath Robinson, but does seem to give reasonable results for an ancient Android phone 👍

You really captured the lustre. Amazing!

I find light scratches visible in images this good don't show on coins without magnification (at least not with my eyes)

I bought a young Vic shield sovereign on an online auction, and when I received it, it looked even better 'in the flesh. If an image is fuzzy or not close up enough I usually pass.
