What other metal resist 18k gold acid testing

I run a second hand shop.
Emptying a house, i found a "gold", shinny, broken in 2 pieces, kind of, necklace.

I weight it with my hands, super light for the size, not my first time seeing gold, i assume its not.

Being conscientious, i grab my magnet, no attraction (after double checking writing this, a slight, very slight rejection).

I am still thinking its a c**p alloy, but i get my stone and make a line (a white one). It resist 12k 14k 18k acid testing. but get dissolved my 22k and platinum acid testing.

I am not looking at getting rich, but just curious of what kind of other metal/alloy can resist up to 18k gold acid testing.

If it's really light, anodized aluminium or titanium possibly.  Aluminium is relatively inert with acids, as it will rapidly form an oxide/chloride etc. layer.  More reactive with alkaline reagents.  Titanium is similarly predisposed to form inert and relatively hard salts on contact with air.  Anodising is widely used to make resilient colour coatings on aluminium, titanium and some other metals.

It might also be a bronze alloy, but it doesn't look the right colour for that. 

 

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.
