2023 Gold Libertads

Hi

I've only recently become aware of Mexican Libertads (through TSF!) and had been hoping to buy a 1/4oz gold this year when released.  

Pleased to see they were available in the UK at my preferred retailer this month, but was shocked to see the premium on them!!  

Around £520 for a 1/4oz.  I assume that's down to the low mintage numbers?  Are there any retailers that offer them at more affordable prices or is that about the going rate?

Low mintages and collectibility pretty much dictate price. Plus only a select few European dealers have access to them. They feature a beautiful design and are sought after. Expect paying at the very least a 25% premium for 1/4 Oz and a lot more for smaller sizes. If you must have one, I suggest looking at the highest mintage years. Those tend to be cheaper. Last year’s had a higher mintage than this year.
