1995 PR 70 DCAM

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I’m after some help please.

I have a 1995 PR70 DCAM sovereign & 1/2 sovereign. I have a fellow interested in them & I’m looking to sell them at a reasonable price.
what do people here think is a fair asking price? The only listings I can find for this year & grade for the half is £1000 £1600 which seems pretty steep to me.

thanks in advance

Some of those 90s sovs and halves ended up with very low mintages and so prices can be surprising.

A quick check on the coin cabinet prior results and the PR70 Sov at/around £1k doesn't look out of place given £925 was achieved and then there would have been +7.2% in BP + VAT so an all in cost of £991. Raw examples traded around the £600-650 mark in the same auction.

The price reference for the 1/2 is a bit stale now at 12 months old but seemingly lower premium at £290 hammer price in March 2022.
