Precious metals verifier.

Hallo can anybody advise me , I am after sourcing a precious metal verifier and not really sure,  where to look , best brand , or how much to pay, is there a second hand market , etc etc, I would be very grateful for any input from people with knowledge on this matter higher than mine (which is zero).
