I collect mostly Sovereigns and Britannias, because of this I inevitably end up with multiple of the same year.

Every coin I have is identified with an index number; this then ties it to its suppliers receipt.

I just wonder if anyone else bothers with this, if so how do you identify each individual coin? Or do you not bother?

Sovereign's here.  I usually buy one a month so it's date purchased and order reference #  Apart from that I'm not bothered.

Looking to complete a date run of Bu Sovs and still require; 2010, 2011, 2018 & 2019

I've noticed a lot of people write it on a sticker on the capsule the coin is in. I mainly buy weight so just log it on a spread sheet to keep a record. No individual coin Id.
