If this does not sell then I would like to get the coin conserved to remove the misty section on the coin. Can anyone advise the best way to have this done as I have not had a proof coin reverted back to mint condition before.

Thank you

Ngc conservation, you can use coins of the realm I think, a forum sponsor to submit to ngc without having to become an ngc member.

Ah brilliant, I knew you could get coins graded by paying a membership but I tend to avoid proof coins normally so it would not be worth subscribing. Thank you for the information :)

There is a good chance this could be removed/reduced. I’ve conserved a few sovereigns in  this condition myself and had some very good results, sometimes all the fogging/greasy can not be removed.  Nothing can be done with scratching.

You could get this graded and conserved with someone it’s likely to be around £85.

I do grade coins for people I know.

Great coin, good price.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Please let me know if you are able to help in any way with this. It will be great to get the coin back to its former glory
