Yearly gold and silver bars

Hi, new to the forum.

I have just started buying gold and silver.

My first purchases have been 2 x 30g gold 2016 panda coins and 2 x 30g silver 2016 panda coins.

PAMP make 2016 Lunar Monkey bars of different weights and metals, are these worth buying?

Does the design element affect the valve of the gold when you try to resell it?

Are you better off buying plain bars or does the year element add value to collectors?

Thanks for your help.

If selling privately, some of the premium from buying new will be lost. Selling to a dealer and all of the premium will be lost.

As far as I know, the Pamp Lunars are both open and unlimited mintage and they will continue to be minted until they decide to cease.

They are nice bars and if you like the design then you may want to pick one up. I definitely wouldn't recommend stacking multiples though.

You may wish to consider buying coins which have a limited mintage where the premium is passed on in the secondary market.

This is something that gets asked again and again, maybe worded differently but still the same

Maybe as a forum we should have a sticky post talking about this? perhaps linking to or quoting existing posts or threads where it has been discussed and people have given their opinion.
