Maybe one day I will own a gold Medieval ring set with stones but until that day it remains on my wish list ( no just a dream 😂 )

Its incredible how detailed items from thousands of years ago were made .

This is a 2000 year old gold and sapphire  ring made for a Roman Emperor with a picture of his wife cut into the stone 😲

Caligula and his last wife.

I'd swap my house for that. :)

The Roman ring was auctioned in 1971 at Sothebys and sold for £750 it was sold again in 2019 for an estimated £500,000 but who the owner was 2000 years ago is still in dispute. Interesting piece of history though.
