These Credit Suisse 1 kilo bars do not always have 'SILVER' on them.

Here is an example on the Silver Towne website.

Here is an example with 'SILVER' on it.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.

I would think it highly unlikely to be a fake BUT once you have created doubt this will always be a concern and you may need to be reassured.
A simple method of verifying if the bar is silver or an alternative "base" metal is to make a specific gravity measurement.
The method is very well documented and quite simple to do at home if you have digital scales that weight over 1kg.
Good modern kitchen scales with 1-2 gm resolution would work fine.

Thanks for your comments, I'll read about the gravity measurement.

I didn't know about this bars without the "silver" mention, but seems there are more in the market.

Kr,
