Afghan Silver - Any informations?

Good morning, TSF members!

Can anyone help me with any informations about Afghan Silver cutlery? What is? It is real silver, or only silver plated? What is the purity? It is Sterling? When was made? I couldn't find on Google about this.

Maybe somebody have some spoons with stamp AFGHAN SILVER and done an acid test or even more tests about purity?

I want to buy online some sets of this type of vintage cutlery, but I don't wont to pay without more informations about this material.

I've done some searching and most of the hits referring to Afghan silver states that it concerns Silver plated rather than a silver alloy. Now I'm not sure if we're talking about the same, but most references I find are <Afghan Silver by Fredrick Whitehouse Sheffield> . Makings show post-1940
