9 Fine Mint: What’s the duty/tax?

Hi, can anyone share their experience of buying bullion from 9 Fine Mint.  At the time of writing $1=£0.77 and at that rate the 10ozt bar is £22.30 per oz... but what are the shipping and tax costs when purchasing from the USA?  Is it still a competitive deal?

I’d like to increase my silver bullion holdings and I’m looking for something that doesn’t carry such a large premium as many silver bullion items do.

Cheers.

Importing into the UK would incur 20% VAT charges and an administration fee - from memory this is £8 if done via Royal Mail and it then ranges from £12 to £20 for some international couriers.

I am pretty sure I have seen a few bits of 9 Fine Mint come up for sale here on the forum at decent prices - might be worth a UK "want ad"

Thank you for that info.  As I thought, once the duty and VAT and shipping are added any cost advantage of buying one of these bars, is pretty much cancelled out.  At the moment, from a cursory look, some of the lowest premiums per ozT are the 10oz QB from Europe.

Just not sure how to invest, without incurring significant premiums of upwards of 25%🤔

Many thanks. 👍
