Here for sale at  £365 and below current spot price is a nice little bullion 1987 1/4 oz gold Brittania 

The coin as shown is a 1987 and are 22 carat gold, however, they still contain the same amount of gold as the later coins as can be seen from the following description:

' This coin contains one-quarter troy ounce (7.8 grams) of fine gold. 1987 -2012 coins are 22 carat and are therefore slightly heavier at 8.5g. 2013 coins onwards are pure gold 24 carat and weigh 7.8g.  22 or 24 carat; doesn't matter - they both contain the same amount of gold.'
