Notice of an "error" on the Prize Draw system

It was my understanding that the system when drawing a winner from the participants of a draw would only choose an eligible winner. e.g. if there is a draw only available to Premium Members and a participating member allows their membership to lapse then the system should exclude them from drawing.

However, after a recent draw and upon checking with the developer this has not been included in the version of the application. They will add it to a future revision of the application. So in the meantime it is possible for the system to incorrectly display an ineligible winner. If this happens we will have to put up the draw again as a re-draw listing.

This is a notice to state that, as per the terms and conditions written in the Prize Draw itself, the winning member needs to be in the eligible member group both at the time of taking a ticket and at the time the winner is selected. If the system selects an ineligible winner, they will unfortunately not win and the draw will be put up again for eligible members to enter. 

So that you are always eligible to win in a draw that you have entered, we recommend to save a card securely so that automatic renewal can happen and so that your Premium Membership does not lapse. To check your cards securely stored on file for automatic payment https://thesilverforum.com/clients/cards/

This is a bump of this. Don’t forget to make sure you have an active membership  (for applicable draws) so you are an eligible winner if chosen by the system  

Recent ended prize draws will be drawn sometime over the coming days.

Will be drawing 3 of the finished draws over the next day or so. For the draws that were for Premium Members only, If the system incorrectly chooses an ineligible winner (I.e. one with cancelled membership) the draw will need to be done again. I will use a random number generator in the event that I have to redraw due to this error in the system as explained above.

This error should be fixed. However it subsequently caused the Prize Draw system to be unable to choose a winner, we have reported this bug to the developer and we hope that they can amend it soon so that we can announce the recent winners.
