The Sixth Portrait of the Queen

Recommended Posts

No disrespect to Her Majesty, but I hope the Royal Mint are not going to make Perth Mint’s current bust of the Queen by Jody Clark looking like Theresa May with baubles the sixth portrait of the Queen. I prefer the Ian Rank-Broadley fourth portrait of the Queen in her younger days.

I don’t think the portrait for the UK coins will change so fast. The previous Aussie portrait had been around for more than a decade if I am correct, which is why they updated it this year. But the UK coinage’s 5th portrait of HM was updated only 4 years back.

Maybe they will commission a new one for HM’s 95th birthday or her 70th coronation anniversary (more appropriate, IMO). At which point I do hope they have a completely new portrait.

They need to shorten her ear.  It looks like that earring weighs 6 ounces the way her ear is stretched down.

It's realistic to life

Nothing looks more evil than a "politicians smile" does it 😐
