When you consider that you are hard pressed to get a 1kg bar on fleabay for under 450, it really is a good move for price conscious stackers.

I think this was a clever plan by STG, business must of been slow and they thought let's tempt the regular customers with kilo coins. I had myself made up my mind not to buy anymore PM's this year untill I spotted the kilo coins on Tuesday.

I thought they didn't stock them in the past as they were having trouble justifying that they are coins and not curling stones.
