Florin and half crowns Silver content

Good afternoon TSF

I found out today that my father and grandfather are/were secret stackers!

Outcame bags of George V Florins and George VI Half Crowns.  I was wondering whether anyone can enlighten me on the history/Silver content and value?

They date from 1921- 1945 and in a varying state of condition!

Hi  i think that pre 1921 is 92.5% silver and 1921 to 1945 is 50% silver

The general rule is 

Up to and including 1919   is .925     

1920 - 1946     is  .500

Like farther like son then. It continues on. 

 

Maybe someone on here know’s what sceptres are depicted on the Florin. Would love to know...
