1920 florin

Came across this today at the car boot and paid a fiver just like to make sure it's genuine weighs 11.05g any thoughts?

Probably about the right weight for a florin that worn. Highly unlikely to be fake.

Not a rare year so bullion really; 5.53g silver, do the maths.

Thanks Steve was only an experiment and is only a fraction of my collection so over paying on this occasion I can make it up as I'm sure I can make a profit overall on my collection doesn't bother me too much just wanted to know if was genuine

It's cool to buy a coin because you like it, I do that, some coins are mini works of art and deserve to be owned just for the pleasure alone

I was ideally looking for the higher silver content but he only had 1920 and after though I've started looking at crowns and they look quite appealing
