Low mintages

As you may or may not know I know like to collect JM bars occasionally I'll see advertised a low serial bar. What would you say qualifies as low serials? 10% of the mintage?

There's a silver 1oz JM bar on eBay, serial no. 232 which the seller is asking for £350. Advertised as extremely rare. I take it this is what you collect.

This bar is an older style compared to the last ones they made which started with the letter 'A' or 'B' followed by the serial number.

It also doesn't have the "bankers limited" on it which I believe most of these ones did have

500 minted though I wouldn't spend that much. Got a garantito 1oz on the way 2000 minted and you don't see them pop up that often paid about £36 which I though yeah I'll take it.

Good price then? What are they usually?

Well if you compare it with the price of like the bar you mentioned then it is quite a saving although I'm not sure of the demand of garantito 1oz but doesn't have a serial so there's no telling if it's one of the first of it's kind or not but I'm pretty sure I got a good price for it will have to keep an eye out to see if any pop up in the near future and see what they sell for.
