Spot value of the raw metal content, a dealer will generally be within a couple percent either side - sometimes a touch over if the coin is in particularly high demand. Generally not a great option with proof coins but it really depends on how often the particular coin sells elsewhere.

£634 in current melt value by the looks of things, seem to be selling for anywhere from £750-£810 at the moment

Very welcome mate - definitely interesting to see it getting opened up on video there, glad to see they arrived OK.

unless it's on a massive scale, you're probably going to be better off buying heavily damaged 999/9999 privately if you really want to make a high purity bar.

they've only started appealing to me lately as a low premium option for fractional gold (especially half sovs), in terms of the actual coins - idk, they're OK.
