Two of my favourite 50p designs just came back from PCGS. These are the silver proof versions. 

The 1897 Melbourne sovereign arrived today, a recent eBay buy.
Have had the two 1979 sovereigns for a while. A great year! 

I can’t go to the Perth Mint without taking home some gold. 

Received a bunch of coins on Friday.
Firstly two small world gold coins, a 1985 1/20 gold Panda 🐼 (am putting together a date run) and a tiny 1913 1/5th Libra from Peru.  This coin has a tiny 15mm diameter so although it has a 60,000 coin mintage it’s thought that about 75% of them have been lost behind sofa cushions throughout Peru 🇵🇪. 
 
Next a group of coins to add to my world silver collection.
- China 🇨🇳 Kwangtung 1890 20 Fen, lovely EF condition.
- a very cool German East Africa 1910J 1/4 Rupee (Vg/fine). Great helmet, if I had one of these I would never take it off. 
- 1812 one Rouble from Russia 🇷🇺 (fine). Minted the year of the invasion by Napoleon.
- 1953 circulation commemorative coin (100th year anniversary of the birth of Cecil Rhodes) from Southern Rhodesia.
- lovely 1931 5 Latis (EF) from Latvia 🇱🇻. 
 

Received the 2001 1oz silver proof Britannia in the post today. I love the design of this coin. 
Purchased this from US SilverForum member John in the US. Thanks for a great coin John.

A nice 1/10th oz 2003 proof Britannia received today. Purchased this one from an Australian bullion dealer.

Another coin arrived in the post today. This time a 1987 proof British sovereign to fill a gap in my Queen Elizabeth II date series. I purchased this coin from an EBay seller in the USA.
Great looking coin, am very happy. 

Hello, received three coins in the post today.
One is the 1931 Perth Mint sovereign. 1931 was the last of sovereign produced by the Perth Mint as a British branch mint. It's not a rare coin but have wanted to get one as the first sovereign I ever bought was the 1899 Perth sovereign which was the first produced by the Perth mint. So now have the first and last!
Also received a 2015 Indian bullion sovereign and the 2014 half sovereign. 

This week received in the post a 1983 half proof sovereign I purchased in an auction and the 2005 half MS66PL sovereign from a US SilverForum member. Was delighted to also receive a 1964 Kennedy Half dollar from the US SilverForum member as a souvenir from the US, my first US coin! Very generous indeed. 
In addition now have my first Queens Beast, the 1/4 oz gold proof.

This lovely 2011 sovereign arrived in the post today just in time for Christmas.

A few Perth Mint pickups from this week.
First is the new 2oz silver bullion version of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One. Very attractive coin.
Next is the 2oz silver antiqued Dragon & Phoenix coin. I bought one of these when they were first issued and put my name on the waiting list for the 2nd which came in this week. 
And lastly a Christmas present from the mint, a tin of Perth Mint mints! 

My 1998 proof sovereign arrived, one of my eBay purchases. The seller still had it in the original Royal Mint plastic wrapping. Great to show the coin the sun for the first time in 20 years!

Also this week had a batch of coins come back from PCGS following conservation and grading.
Have photos below of the Chinese pandas pre and post conservation. They have come up really well. 
Also am very pleased with the outcomes on the sovereigns achieving PF70DCAM for the 1980 & 2002 and PF69DCAM for the 1979 (PCGS don't have a 70 for the 1979 on their population list and I think there is only one NGC70). 

Picked up the new 2oz antiqued silver Dragon & Phoenix coin from the Perth Mint yesterday. Apartently they have sold out at the mint. 

Four South African proof coins arrived today. They had been with PCGS for conservation and grading.
The 1952 £1 came out with a great PR67CAM with the 1/2 £1 a respectible PR67.
Then have both the 1962 2 Rand and 1 Rand at PR66.

Some eBay purchases arrived today. A 2008 proof sovereign, a lovely 1989 proof half sovereign and the 2015 5th portrait proof sovereign. 

Five of my SilverForum purchases arrived in Australia. 2015 proof sovereign NGC70UCAM, an ungraded 2000 proof sovereign, 2013 bullion sovereign, a 2014 1/2 oz Chinese Panda and finally 1/10th oz Liberty coin (my first US gold coin). Lovely coins. 

Fantastic coins. The Raphael Maklouf obverse design is my favorite Queen profile. 

Had a few eBay buys arrive this week. First are two sovereigns put together in a box by the Perth Mint (neither are Perth Mint coins), one is the 2002 British proof sovereign and the other a rather worn 1878 Sydney shield back sovereign. 
Then a separate 2003 proof British sovereign in a capsule. 

The new Perth Mint year of the pig proof set. Includes the 1oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz coins. Purchased with the COA number 0188. I think this number is supposed to be lucky - one of first and eight for prosperity. 

Received two bullion sovereigns purchased from a fellow SilverForum member earlier this year. The 1957 and 1967. 

Hello, just bought the 2018 proof dragon coin from the Perth Mint. Have taken a photo of the proof next to the billion version released earlier in the year.
