I have conveyed that to Doug, our resident "flasher"

Well respected medallists, and they were very helpful some years ago when I enquired about an old medal(lion) of theirs.
I must make a "business" trip to go and visit them when lockdown is over.

The description on the Flickr page says:
We should have added 100 from our existing stock, and made it a half tonne, which is what we were trying to buy, so we just took what was due to become available.
So, no, they are not all pre-ordered (In normal times, we buy for stock, not to order).

Where were you when we needed you?
Back in 2008/9, we collected 3.2 tonnes of Perth Mint Australian silver coins from the airport.
We hired a 7.5 tonne GVW lorry, which I was covered to drive on my licence. We were borderline legally loaded, 7 pallets evenly spaced.
Unloading it at our old place on Lytham Road was interesting. It was evening when we arrived with it. Duncan slashed the plastic shrinkwrap of the bundles, handed them down to me, I trucked them across the pavement to our front door, Jane stood in our airlock, opening and closing it for me, moving it through the inner door when we could. It worked well.
There is a pub opposite, many locals were outside drinking, and we heard some shouts like "Eh up, lads, t'gold bars have arrived". We had no security issues, but then Duncan is about 6'4'', well built, and looked quite daunting standing on the back of a wagon wielding a Stanley knife.

We do have half a tonne on order.
One of our bar suppliers just doubled its manufacturing charge, probably in line with most other sources, so premiums look like they are still rising.
We declined buying any at the higher price.
We have no certain delivery date for our silver kilo bars, but even if we did, for obvious security reasons, we prefer not to publicise when we are expecting deliveries.
 

All these silver kilos are already sold, and being packed to go out or into storage.
We do have a few of the gold ones spare though.
