  1. It's classier than pine, but I wood prefer somewhere you could get a great deal.
  2. FFS and JFC! WTF do you persist in misquoting me time after time after F. time. You are beginning to make yourself look and sound stupid. I did not say "have had no direct communication with the Royal Mint since at least 20 years" I said: "Nothing I have not communicated to them directly, since 2000 at least." I am starting to think I would have more success trying to reason with a parrot.
  3. I can see you are razor sharp this morning. The e-mail was addressed to our cat. Other than that, I am not going to drag him in to this matter. However your ability to comprehend seems to be extremely selective... Unfortunately, you are still failing to understand the plain simple English words I used, and you now appear to be misquoting me for about the tenth time. I will remind you again what I actually said, as opposed to what you imagine or wish I had said. In response to your comment "- and Chards seem to have just made a silly business decision with that comment - mocking RM's ethics, in public...!" "Nothing I have not communicated to them directly, since 2000 at least." Everyone else on this Forum seems to understand perfectly, and some have tried to explain it, probably for you benefit. Alas to no avail. Perhaps your brain can only deal with one concept at a time?
  4. Sadly I think your highly valuable insights and input may have come too late: CAROLINE WEBB Chief Marketing Officer Caroline joined The Royal Mint in June 2021 as Chief Marketing Officer and is accountable for elevating the brand to engage customers and support growth. Caroline leads the strategic marketing, communications, insights and product development teams – ensuring that brand sits at the heart of decision making, and delivers our promise as The Original Maker. Vastly experienced in marketing and product proposition, Caroline brings insight and expertise gained at leading consumer brands including Oak Furnitureland, TM Lewin and BAA Retail. Now, if you had stirred all this up about a year ago, you might have been doing Caroline's job by now. Of course, she might need an assistant. I could put in a good word for you. 😎
  5. Barry seems to have made the Royal Mint listen. Just received this: Dear I wanted to personally thank you for being part of our Mint Marque account management service, and apologise for any issues you may have experienced over recent weeks. On several occasions we recognise that we have fallen short of our usual high standards of service, and I wanted to reassure you that we are addressing this. Over the coming weeks you will notice a number of improvements, designed to ensure you receive the best possible experience from The Royal Mint – enabling us to go the extra mile for you. Here are a few things we are doing: Addressing technical issues: Recent issues with our telephone and messaging system have been addressed, which means we are fully available to discuss your requirements and requests. A new Customer Relationship Management system: We are introducing new technology which will help deliver a seamless experience for you – securely noting requests, queries or preferences that enable us to provide a better service, no matter who you speak to. Improved delivery: We are developing a new way to provide you with your products more quickly so you can add them to your valuable collection and start enjoying their beauty as soon as the product is released. We anticipate being able to introduce this in late spring. I hope this helps address any recent concerns or issues you may have experienced. You are a really valued customer to us, and we look forward to providing you with the VIP service you deserve as a Mint Marque member. Kind Regards, Clare Maclennan Division Director Commemorative Coin & TRME
  6. It was interesting, and valid. If you stop collecting, you could still contribute to the Forum, and tell us about all the good things we are all missing in the big world outside. 😎
  7. I did start a summary, but by the time I finished drafting it, there were another 53 notifications and 6 more pages, and byt the time I revised my summary... In any case the summary was 3 pages long, which seems to defeat the object. 😎
  8. You can say that again. Actually that's about the clearest thing I've read on this thread. At least it's clearer, and more informative than anything from the O.P.
  9. It's about time they found them all guilty, and put them away for life. I'm not sure about the Celts. 😎
  10. Agreed. I don't often use a double negative, but am still happy with the way I wrote it, which must have been because of the context of the question, simillar to saying "You have told me nothing I didn't know already". Some people appreciate the subleties of communication, while there will always be some who are total lost causes.
  11. Positive, he knows it already, it's 1234, but whatever you do, don't tell anybody, especially this lot on TSF! 😎
  12. Swine, now look what you've done. Now it's 24 pages long, right after I said it was 23 pages. What are you trying to do to me / all of us?
  13. 23 pages in two days! This is getting ridiculous. I'm off to bed. However it has been an moderately entertaining way of spending much of my second day of self isolation. More tomorrow? - Who knows? 😎
  14. You already dragged her into it: "Posted Monday at 20:15 Absolutely - My wife is an authorized Cartier and Tiffany Retailer" ...and no, I do not believe you. I suspect I am not alone in this.
  15. I suspect we are both banging our heads on a proverbial brick wall here!
  16. Your real or apparent lack of understanding of plain English is appalling. This is also now the 5th time you have misquoted me. It is you who elected to come onto the forum and whinge about having been ripped off by some dishonest dealer, and also about the Royal Mint's Marketing and Business practices. You fail or seem reluctant to provide further information to those TSF members who are trying to help and advise you. It is not surprising that are are not getting much sympathy. Indeed it is surprising that so many members are still being so polite and caring. I have not intention of telling you who I / we source my / our coins from. For one thing, it would constitute a breach of confidence. As dealers, and not mere retailers or distibutors, for over 50 years we have bought coins from (almost) anyone, and sold coins to (almost) anyone. I think most TSF members would understand this, they are not stupid. I am now coming to the conclusion that this thread has indeed gone on too long.
  17. I think that makes it the 4th time you have misquoted me, and two of those times were of the same comment of mine. In an attempt to make it idiot-proof: In this post: I said "Nothing I have not communicated to them directly, since 2000 at least. You misquoted me by omitting the very first word "Nothing" which creates a diametrically opposed meaning, and you also changed my "to" into "with". Besides your claim to be unable to type, are you also dyslexic? If so, it could partly explain some things.
  18. He has certainly misquoted me, for the third time. ...and that was all in print (or on screen). Makes me wonder how good his recollection is of his oral conversations with Bullion House and the Royal Mint!
  19. Yes, he took over when Silvery Moon and Two Dogs F...king went back home. I guess you know the old joke?
