I have a pair of Egyptian Revival Camdlesticks and I am wondering if anyone can identify the marks? I think they are French? They look to be either gilt or brass plated over silver or silver plate? Can anyone tell me more about the finish and how I might have them fixed? Someone used a polish that took off some of the gold/brass plating. Thanking you all in advance for any help and advice.
