Hi I’m looking at selling my 2022 three coin memorial proof set. Selling them as it is my first proof set and after owning them came to realise I don’t really like owning proof coins as I feel like I’m going to mark them if I look at them for too long so selling them so I can buy bullion instead. This is my first proof coins I’ve owned so when I describe the condition it’s through an amateurs eyes but I will say I was very pleased with the condition these coins came in. They have no obvious or apparent scratches from what I can see (otherwise I would’ve sent them back). On the full sovereign there does appear to be some sort of mark that is only visible when magnified on a camera and completely invisible to the naked eye (I have circled this in the pictures below). Please see the pictures below and judge for yourself. F = Full H = Half Q = Quarter I’m asking for £1000 for this set with RMSD included in the price. Delivery to UK addresses only. That’s the exact conversation I was expecting when I phoned up the first time. I guess if it was to happen again I’ll have to be a bit more demanding and get it overturned in one phone call. I haven’t had anything like this happen before so kind of went along and accepted it. It wasn’t until I hung up and thought it was a bit strange lol

Just checked and luckily it’s still open Aha They said it could take a couple of days before the block is lifted so I’ll check then and see if it is has but fingers crossed 🤞

Just got done with speaking to them on the phone and they have reversed their decision to block my account from ATS. She said she couldn’t go into more details on why it was blocked in the first place but something to do with their scam prevention measures but after looking into it further she admitted that a “error had been made” and that they’re going to overturn it. Still a bit annoyed that they couldn’t overturn it the first time I phoned them up and told them that it was a legitimate site and I was happy to go ahead with the payment but just relived that it’s finally been resolved. Big thanks to everyone that’s given me advice on this! Much appreciated!

Much appreciated! And Yh those are the cheapest I can find as well. Unfortunately having a bit of issues with my bank atm with them blocking me from buying from ATS because of “safety concerns”. Having a phone call with my bank today to see if I can get the block removed.

Much appreciated! Did try buying the bull from Tavex not too long ago but found out they require ID to confirm purchases and after losing my wallet with my Drivers license in it had no way to confirm it was me so ended up having to cancel the order 🙃

I’m not sure if it was because I tried to make a large some purchase off buying 2 coins together that alerted them. I believe if I was to go ahead and have brought them in 2 separate purchases it would’ve gone under the radar and had no problem with it. And Yh I think you’re right about buying from TSF as a way to get around this dilemma. Just seems weird to me that I’ve had no problems like this when buying off TSF and giving strangers money but the bank draws the line at me spending money at a well established business and sees that as dodgy dealing

Aha very true! In the heat of the moment I was very tempted to go down to my bank and withdrawal all my money and be completely done with them lol After all this though it’s made me more comfortable knowing I’m doing the right thing in buying gold so that’s the only bonus from this lol

It’s weird because I was watching that video from BYB the other day about how he had the same problem and was thinking to myself how this is probably never going to effect me because I’m not really a big spender. I’ve only just started buying gold and only buy it here and there but apparently that’s enough for them to become suspicious. I think I’m okay with buying from other sites, my card hasn’t been blocked or anything just blocked from that site but tbh it’s more the principal than anything atm 😂 even if the sale ends from ATS before I get this sorted out I’ll probably still buy from them just because I don’t want the bank telling me no lol
