Hello For sale is this excellent condition gold proof set with a Half, Full and Double Sovereign. With conservation this is a good set to get graded, if one wanted. Will consider a swap with 4 bullion sovereign with at least one being a 2002, 2005 or 2012. Or a 1oz gold coin from well known Government mints. Before someone asks, yes 3 and half sovereign for 4 or 1 oz. Hello Something a little difference. I am selling one of my Sovereign scale. I would think that it is at least 100 years old, The box indicates that it is. Box a little damaged on one end, could be taped up but decided to leave alone. See photo for condition. The scale works as shown in photo with a half and full Sovereign. Sovereign sold in another listing. £45 plus postage of choice. I would have thought large envelope 2nd signed for would be between £2.65 and £3.50 Spyder

Well I recently sold 11 post 1920 Three Pence for about £11 so you could double that and work from there.

Spot price of gold is always classed as 24ct and today the spot price for 1oz troy is £1576.

This bit does not make sense. You can not lose twice. You can only lose the two coins you posted if it goes against you. The £4000 would be what you were paid by the scammer. Now Ebay is holding the scammers money and will either pay it back to them or to you. If it goes to them you lose two ounces of gold. Just hope it works out for you and like has been said, the sooner you seek legal advice the better.

This really is frustrating, How can they one minute settled in your favour and the next open the claim again. Is it ebay that have taken the money out of your account or is it Paypal? I have noticed that ebay now pays your money even before item is posted. I have not sign a direct debit with ebay, so they could not get money back if they tried. Paypal, I think can. Maybe the scammer has now gone and disputed with Paypal, thus the case has been opened again.

You have all your coins registered on a spreadsheet, so I would start from reading Marsh book and quoting years of coins rated Scarce, Rare and overdates. Start with those and you will find enjoyments when you find one. This would also help your or your family in the future to know these are worth more then the others when it comes to selling in the distance future. Look at the coin from all angles as sometimes you see more when viewing the coin upside down. Photos will also make it easier as you can zoom in and get more details. Have fun

And still they don't get banned. Genuine sellers are having to swim through a pile a s**** and they still have to face the wrath of someone trying to scam them and pocket a free item.

Ebay does sod all. That listing for those two fake sovereign were reported and they still let the listing go to the end of auction. Have not noticed any feedback regarding those two fakes.
