  1. Is there anything spectacular use can all think of that may be a future great engravers. Since Una - right up there. Three graces also, but is there anything close to the first 2 coins that could be a future release. This upcoming one is good, but not great. Wyons version was much better, any suggestions?
  2. I would've preferred Wyons George and the Dragon design but this is certainly better than the last coin in the series, another drawback this design was used n the 2017 sovereigns
  3. What's the next coin in the series? Someone has to be in the know somewhere. They'll have to revive the series after the last few, couldn't come quick enough
  4. It's a coin worth having the three graces. The next one should be interesting now that the RM have had their fun with the 2 piece nonsense behind them. It'll be interesting to see the next coin n the series. Back to a single release coin I believe, only makes sense after those last 2 disasters with the gothic and the petition. Next coin I would be shocked if it doesn't revive the series.
  5. I must have been extremely lucky. Not a star wars fan but this one I'm getting most of the range, and the pre order of the series. Hope you receive better quality on your next ones. Good luck
  6. Milk spots, every topic on here matter what the coin is there's some complaining of milk spots, mintage figures, delays, on and on. Does noone anymore just not complain and simply buy a coin because they have an interest in a particular theme, background story or mostly just the joy of collecting. The amount being shipped from production year after year a minor percentage of coins there may be problems, the majority with is into the hundreds of thousands, millions, are fine. Silver forums now just a site to moan n complain rather than any excitement of the joy to collect. I'll take my chances buy the coins which always arrive fine n watch for 3 hours upon arrival for the milks spots to arrive.
  7. Why is there a timer with 3 hours on the Royal Mint website
  8. A good 2 Oz Gold and a decent bottle would go both celebrating the coronation would go perfectly hand in hand together lol
  9. Although this is separate to coins. Does anyone have any knowledge about whisky, aswell as the Coronation coins I have already purchased, I'm interested in the McCallan Coronation Whisky, any knowledgeable collectors out there could advise if this would be a good investment?
  10. There's a 2oz Matt on eBay for sale. Priced cheaply I would say. Anyways apart from that Matt coin. What about grading for the coronation range. NGC or PCGS. What's best or most desirable?
  11. Did anyone go for or get a 2oz gold in their baskets??
  12. Thanks for your help. I will contact the RM on Monday, personally I'd rather have a replacement, it's eye catching, looks very poor standard. I'm happy in my decision to buy the set. I will provide more information as it comes in from the RM and other buyers, it's still early days I expect this will only be the first of many similar issues with these coins. It will be good to hear and see photos of others as they come in. Replacement for me it is. It's good to learn all these terms, before today I had never heard of finning until something like this happens, very interesting. Thanks for all help. Curious to see others in gold and silver. Appreciate the help provided. 👍🌟
  13. It's called finning, when the planchet is stuck with too much pressure (or poss. slightly off centre) and metal gets pressed up the edge of the die. Poor QC, not really an error. Would most agree with this statement, just trying to gather as much information as possible.
  14. It's unique that's for sure. There will never be one like this again 🤣 I still strangely am pleased to have the coin. Just unsure on next steps return to get perfection or would it be better to have a possible error coin? Advice needed
  15. Hello Wampum, what would you suggest, best to have a replacement issued as poorly struck or send to NGC for grading and if so your thoughts on the outcome post grading? Attached more close up photos
  16. Obverse side of both coins just look perfect like all my other coins.
  17. Westminstrel, you seem to be a regular. Can you advise or share your knowledge of what has happened please?
  18. Look at this photo. You'll see what I mean about the edge band sitting raised, not flush with the rim of the coin.. not properly jointed either. My technical wording my be incorrect. What's caused this? I don't know if an error but poor quality for the price.
  19. That's the very best photos I can seem to get. Be great to hear feedback on what's happened. I think the photos I have provided will let you see what I was trying to explain . Many thanks for all your help
  20. Jcbxly. Marks behind the lettering was the 2oz Silver. Yours could be fine. I hope. Was more disappointed with the problems with the Gold. Edge band was correctly aligned on the Silver.
