  1. Does it weigh correct? If so, I'd just add it to the stack and forget about it. I used to get upset about silver Britannias arriving as though they'd been delivered by the Milk Man, but I've learnt to ignore it. Silver is Silver, and Gold is Gold. Apparently.
  2. David Lawrence really dropped the ball with the coin design, IMHO. Compared to his other works at least.
  3. You can still find Gillicks for slightly above "best value" Sovereigns, if you know where to look.
  4. They didn't start dating until 2003, and I imagine the design for the 2003 Proof Britannia would have been completed in 2002. I can see some resemblance. Maybe Philip Nathan was Catherine's beau before she met William?
  5. Well, I think this was scheduled to be released the day the Queen died, so I guess it had to come out eventually. The Royal Mint do seem to crank out an awful lot of "limited editions" though, you are right.
