  1. I don't own a chemical based silver testing kit. I'd like to rectify that. Apparently some are rubbish though.
  2. Great! I'm also in the United Kingdom. Let me know when you can do my hedges.
  3. I took a de-activated AK47 Assault rifle in part-ex for a car.
  4. I doubt anyone is suggesting to be cash only. It is possible, but impracticable. The thing is to use cash whenever & wherever practicable. In @GoldDiggerDave's petrol station analogy I'd have put in a moderate amount and driven to a different station to fill up and pay cash. Many stations even have a cash dispenser outside the shop so there really is no excuse. That's impressive. Why not petrol?
  5. Add Clarence & the SMP bar to my current order please.
  6. I see Nationwide do current accounts, I didn't realise that. They also have an 8% savings account.
  7. Thanks. What's the card reader for? EDIT I see now it's for logging on instead of a passcode.
  8. I'm with Lloyds. I can no longer log into my own account without receiving a telephone call from them 'for my security'... It is getting very tiresome. If I want to send money to someone I have not before, I have to: 1) log on with username & password 2) fetch the telephone to receive a code. 3) wait while a computer tells me a load of cobblers (deliberately making it longer and more difficult) before giving me the code 4) enter the code into their website. At this point I am 'in'. 5) enter new recipients details etc. 6) answer the 'phone AGAIN for a new code (after the needlessly lengthy intro yet again). 7) enter the code, the payment is then made. As you can see far from ideal. I DID also have their 'app' on my old mobile 'phone that I still have from when I used to use one. I needed to use that when I wanted to pay in a cheque as that cannot be done via their website, however they have now decided my mobile is Jailbroken (It isn't) and flatly refuse to let me use the app, their 'Customer Service' told me to "get it repaired at a shop". There is nothing wrong with the phones operating system, it's probably just now 'obsolete'. Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone who also prefers to use a banks website rather than an 'App', and whether such a thing still exists as a user-friendly bank. I'm convinced they will all eventually go the same way as the global system wants everyone to use a mobile device and they hate it when you don't. But, if I could hold out a while longer I should be glad. If you've made it this far, thank you for reading.
  9. Simply clicking 'like' wasn't sufficient for this post, so here's some extra love: ❤️💛🧡💟💚💕💙💞💜💖💓💝💗
  10. Use Ebay instead. I sell my old tat valuable collectibles on there and would happily accept cash posted SD.
  11. Yes, but not all cash has to be deposited in, kept in, and withdrawn from, a bank.
  12. ⬆️ This. I can fully understand why a buyer wouldn't want to, as it will cost them seven or eight quid extra, but a seller? If they refuse it they're just not worth buying from ever again. This whole current "money laundering" narrative is 99.999% 🐂💩 (Our government launders your tax through arms companies though) don't fall for it, cash is not 'a bad thing'.
  13. Some strange opinions here, along with some holier-than-thou attitudes.🤔. I sold a car last year, £9,500. The bloke turned up with cash when he collected it. Didn't faze me a bit. What's the problem? Worth bearing in mind that large amounts of cash can be legitimately sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery. With that in mind, most sellers on here ought to accept it. I certainly would. I've been in full time employment since I left school in the 1980's and have paid income tax in full every week since then. If someone wants to avoid some of that, and has the means to do so, doesn't bother me one bit, good luck to 'em I say.
  14. They couldn't care less. Equally I couldn't care less if they folded overnight. Good riddance.
  15. Really? It really doesn't look that big. Sorry... 😁
  16. Never heard of it before. It looks very American based, do you find that a problem at all?

Go on then... I'll take them, It's been a few days since I last sent you a fortune after all... 🤑
  18. My employer pension easily outperforms gold. However, I do NOT trust that it will not go belly up, (as it has twice before...), I do NOT trust 100% that it will be available to me.
  19. I've never purchased larger than 1/4oz myself, but I'm thinking about it.
  20. I'm not convinced by it. When ounce coins reach 3k the fiat will have further devalued to the point that 3k feels like £1.5k currently does. In real terms, no difference.
