  1. As a silver stacker, I can agree, there's no shortage of silver. I've never had any issues buying any, ever. So long as you're happy to take your silver in any form.
  2. Edith!! Edith!! Not more Onion soup... will no one come to an old lady's assistance?
  3. Yeah, but I haven't finished buying yet. 😁 Just my luck for the silver price to work its way up now! 🤔
  4. I'm not! This is awful timing... 😔 I hope they can smack it down again.
  5. Agreed. I've got a large silver order on going. So I hope the price stays down!
  6. I bulk bought loads of silver, maybe I can do this... Oh no, wait... Ah 😔 😁
  7. Good sources clearly. Most of the ones I've seen have been edging towards the £500 mark - be that eBay, Chards, coin dealers etc. Rare to see shields below £480, and that was a month ago.
  8. Hmm... We've all been there. 😔😁
  9. Back below £1800, has anyone bought the dip yet? Quick you've got a few seconds...
  10. I do. I'm voting for Larry the Cat.
  11. Have you seen this film? It's totally up your street, all about TV licenses. 😁
  12. Not dissimilar to Jim Rickards (or was it Maloney?) who visited an old Italian landed family, they'd held their properties since medieval times. The family had thrived on the philosophy of - land, fine art and gold.
  13. I think you underestimate James32... 😉😁
  14. Getting there fast, or so it would seem.
  15. Who says that China would have to "sell" gold for currency? It's entirely plausible that in the future they could purchase things with the gold, be that building projects, other natural resources etc.
  16. What happens though if today's high is yesterday's much higher? I'm not saying this is the case, but whilst most analysis focuses on the gold prices from 1974-1980 and 2000-2011, there's rarely any mention of 1981-1999. The 90s surely have lessons to teach us also in that markets are cyclic... What goes up can come back down. From our current vantage point that does seem very unlikely of course but it is not impossible.
  17. 1791 was a good year. Will we make it out of Georgian times into Victorian ones? 1837 ain't that far away. 😁
  18. Pre-decimal bronze coins can be bought by the kilo, several kilos in fact - plenty on eBay.
  19. Finally someone speaking my language. Whilst not succinct, that made more sense than any pictographic representation I've seen hitherto on this thread. Congratulations old boy for a profound post, well put.
  20. Definitely a scalene triangle about to be formed on the bottom right there. That doesn't bode well for gold. There's a four sided Wonger triangle in the middle... Not sure what the means though...
  21. I'm only stacking silver at this time, I think it's still dirt cheap, the exact same feeling I had about gold in 2000. Gold's really too expensive for me now. I would only pick up a few bits that are of numismatic interest, and always circulation coins.
  22. I did sell, in 2009-2010, I sold the lot. Only kept the silver... I should have sold the silver and kept the gold I suppose, but hey ho. 😁
