Non Hallmarked Gold?

Recommended Posts

I've managed to get hold of this, it was my great aunts. Most likely made in the 1950's, there's no hallmark of the bracelet. Does that make it 9ct? The half Sov's are real.

Any help?

Could be made outside of the U.K.   good chance it is 9ct.

If you are selling it might be best to “free” the Sovs and sell them and the chain separately.

Nope, it wouldn't have been made outside the UK, most likely not made outside Cambridge! Those that lived on Garlic Row tended to not go other side of the river!😆

I did mention that to Mother, she responded just like any 83 year old woman would. In other words 'I'm right and you don't know what you're on about.'

Got another two half Sov's if you're up for them

Any chance of taking some more photos with the bracelet laying flat.

Can those half sovereigns be removed without damaging the pendants or the chain?

Very surprised that there is no hallmarked even on pendants.

Like I said in previous message, can not see how to removed the coins without destroying both the pendants and chain.  Thus they have to stay as they are or the jewellery part with be scrap gold.

You can take it to the jewellers and see what they will offer. This way, they will test it and you will know what carat gold you have
