Acid tested 1887 Sovereign :(

Its painful to see the damage done to a rare coin when it has been acid tested. It's a shame the original owner felt little choice but to take it to a common pawn shop and not a specialist dealer/trader.

FFS how many times does it need to be tested? and where do they get the price from? It's not rare, far from it. I think it's fake anyway.

"Average condition"? A complete mess more like, it wants melting.

It's worth it's weight in gold: 14.64g or approx £410
