If you want to hold / take delivery of your physical silver there is no work-around the VAT in the UK anymore.
Even if dealers state 'no VAT' or 'differential VAT' on used bullion they still inflate their premiums.
The best prices are going to be from private sellers who have seen new coins increase in cost by 20% due to VAT and those that bought cheap silver a few years ago that want to sell will be happy with their return whilst beating the dealers who have to charge VAT.

This, so frustrating. Especially after they have likely paid spot for it.

It's not really bearing true at the minute, why would you sell your £20 silver for £25 when the market is accepting of £30~

Supply and demand and all that I guess.

I'm just sticking to gold at the minute.
