⚠️ Be aware of spoof emails - check email address

Be careful of spoof emails. I received this email today, as an example. If however you click on the sender you will see the email that it originated from and notice that it is from someone else.

Always click on the senders name to view the actual email address it was sent from to see if it is from a domain from the real businesses or not. If in any doubt never click through links in such emails and go directly to the domain/business website. 

In the below example notices how the from field appears to come from the forum, but when clicking it you can see that the actual email address it comes from is an outlook email address. This spoof email is designed to trick people, if you click through and login, they will steal your login details. Never click through links in such emails.

Be careful of any emails you get that may appear to be from the forum. Even if it appears to come from The Silver Forum domain in the email sender field. The headers may be spoofed.

⚠️ I have just received an email that appears to come from “no-reply@thesilverforum.com” however it is a spoof email and not from the forum.

When visiting the forum please make sure that any links you click through an email go to https://www.thesilverforum.com. If in doubt do not click through any links in any email and always go directly to the forum via your browser by typing the address in the address field. There may be someone trying to get access to your account details, this is why we also recommend 2FA.
