Beatrix Potter 50p Silver Proof Prices

Hi all

Whilst dragging my wife round various antique barns looking for bargain coins again 😂, I came across various 50p silver proof Beatrix Potter coins with boxes and COA all for around £40 each. After doing a quick search online these seem to sell for more. Are these the bargains they seem to be, or are the prices online over inflated? I don't really know much about these coins as they're not really my thing, the wife likes them though.

Depends on the year. The Beatrix Potter shop was selling them cheaper than that for a while and you’ll probably get 2017 and 2018 for less than that on the Forum. 2016 will probably cost more, particularly the Peter Rabbit.

I have full sets from 2017 and 2018, both white box and black box. I’m going to list them anyway in the run-up to Christmas. Drop me a PM if you’re interested.

Thanks for the reply, glad I didn't buy on a whim. I thought there was just a single release over a few years, didn't realise there are full series for each year.
