What's Popular across The Globe

In the U.S., it seems that some of the more popular silver coins are the American Silver Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, and Morgan Silver Dollar.  (Junk silver deserves some mention, too.)  But what about in other parts of the world?  I think that the Austrian Philharmonic holds primacy in Continental Europe, but what else is in high demand there?  And what about in the UK, Asia, and Australia?

I look forward to reading your thoughts on this!

In UK the Brittanias seem to be pretty popular and a common choice being our Gov minted coins, the Queens beast are another popular (as stated above) one here being royal mint again and nice designs in most although the early ones now hold a high premium.

Not sure about other specific countries or continents but in general tend to see a lots of Pandas, kruggerand, and kookaburras, and libertads, all of which seem quite popular (some more than others) as well as some European "junk" silver

In the UK - Legal tender (capital gains tax - exempt) seem to be the favoured!

since we still have to pay "STOOPID" VAT on silver! 😡 (Where is the VALUE ADD- I ask?)

VAT = "Value added tax" for our US brethren! 😉👍  - is a random "TAX" of NO SENSE! to rip off UK investors in SILVER! 😠

Interesting question. In the UK at least I'd make a distinction between investing/stacking and collecting. For stacking, as others have said, government issued capital gains tax and VAT (sales tax) free coins will offer the best value. For collecting the Royal Mint does some great issues but  can be hit and miss. For example, I was interested to see what they'd do for the Sherlock Holmes one but wasn't a fan of the design when it came out. Perth Mint are pretty safe bets both in terms of the quality of the design and the product.
