If you are UK based and are planning to stack a fairly large amount, you should consider Britannias and or gold - specifically sovereigns

Bars are taxable and attract a capital gains tax if you are selling them in large quantities. Britannias are tax exempt. Also - do your research and dont buy from high street shops or random retailers - I see you are in Leicester - the Indian shops there charge quite a premium on their silver and arent a good buy. (same with their gold).

It boils down to how much cash and when / how you would plan on selling.

Sales forum on here is good for picking up silver, there's also a thread called UK & Europe Silver Deals (or somehing along those lines) on here which has links to lots of bullion sites that sell at relatively competitive prices. I'd look into buying from European sites as they will offer VAT free stuff which is usually better if your looking to buy something bigger as delivery can be expensive if it's a small lot.
