Hi Everyone, I'm looking for a date and maker of a gold ring. I've worked out the crown, 22ct and the anchor.  I'm not sure of the SH or the N date. One site said 1892 but the SH wouldn't match.i don't think. I'm sorry to ask but I have tried Google. May be it's much newer? 🤔

Many thanks in advance

So we have the gold mark - the 22ct mark and the Birmingham anchor - the N year mark suggests 1937 to me. This link is for silver marks but the year letter in Birmingham is the same for gold.

We are left with SH - this has been looked at elsewhere - https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=46811

The thoughts were it was Samuel Hope of Vyse Street in the Jewellery Quarter.

This site indicates the latest date seen is 1925 so too early for 1937 however the company was wound up in the 1980's so it was certainly around in the 1930's.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.
