I suggest you go to Bullion by Post + check out their precious metals graphs --It might help as it alerts you to swings in the market

I buy coins with a numismatic value --or a mix of bullion + numismatic --but there are no guarantees 

Personally I buy stuff I really like like sovereign  proofs and am content to live with them not giving me a profit for years ---if ever

Is it available internationally as well.

Or is it just available for UK only.

You want to learn about Technical Analysis of the markets you need to go to the King - Brian Marber - Marber on Markets - you need to read this book about 10 times then you will have all you need to know about how charts and markets work, the rest is down to you, studying, practise, patience and working on your emotions and psychology, then you may have a chance, good luck
