France, Brexit & VAT

I’ve just hurriedly ordered online a 2019 1oz Silver Mona Lisa Proof (High Relief) from the Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint) in order to beat the Brexit deadline. Fortunately, the coin will be arriving in eight days well before the deadline. I’ve paid for the coin and the delivery charge which was converted from Euros to British Pounds at the current exchange rate. Will UK customs slap 20% VAT on top of the cost of the coin and the delivery charge? Whatever the cost, I know it would have been far more expensive to order the coin from France after a no-deal Brexit. I’ve been drooling over that Mona Lisa coin for ages now. It’s one of those now-or-never situations.

Is there VAT mentioned in the price? You will have been charged VAT already.

Thank goodness! The coin’s price is inclusive of taxes which I assume is the French way of saying the VAT has been paid.

Congratulations friend. You IMHO have a superb good taste! I my self also think the Coin it's gorgeous, and I will also try to get one soon.

In general the Paris Mint have wonderful designs!

I've just discovered the Paris Mint for the first time thanks to this post. The Belem Tower (Lisbon) coin from the UNESCO collection is a particular favourite. One of my favourite places on the planet.
